Damarukam Review

Nagarjuna as Mallikarjuna is an auto driver who falls in love with
anushka who in this film has special powers in Damarukam movie. Ravishankar as
Andhakasura is the negative role in the movie who also has
supernatural powers and wants to kill the heroine to control the
PanchaBhutas. How does malli fight with these evil powers and how is
everything in turn linked to Kailasam and Shivudu is the main gist of
the movie which are being well showed on the screen.
As far as the movie goes all the actors hav done their job quiet well
and everything is in place. Nag in the role of Malli has done an
outstanding performance. His introduction scenes are well pictured and
his Six pack sequence is a visual treat for his audience. For Anushka,
her intro is also well captured with Vedic Mantras going in the
background during her intro, For a heroine there is not much role for
her in the movie in terms of acting but she has done what is expected
out of her for the movie. Now coming to Andhakasura, we have to agree
that Ravi Shankar has done an astounding performance in the movie and
at times he has also outperformed Nagarjuna with his acting skills. To
Say he has shown the audience how exactly an evil is when it takes the
form of a human.
For others, Krishna Bhagawans timing is as always Punchy and witty.
Sequences between Prakash Raj and Brahmi are good. For the Graphics
there is really an impressive work in the movie. The sequences where
Nandi coming to resque Nag after being told so by Lord Shiva are
superb.
Out and out except for a few minor flaws the movie is a real visual
treat for all Nag fans.
